Privacy

Short, because there is not much to say. This site has no accounts, sets no cookies and sells nothing about you — so this page is mostly a list of things that do not happen.

No cookies. None at all.

This site sets no cookies, which is why there is no banner asking you to accept any — there is nothing to consent to. You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser's storage panel on any page here and the cookie list is empty.

What we count, and what we cannot see

Cloudflare Web Analytics records that a page was opened. It is cookieless: it does not follow you from site to site, it builds no profile, and it cannot tell us who you are or that you have been here before. What we read from it is a total per page — which crossings people open — and nothing finer than that.

The few things we count ourselves

Besides the above, we count a handful of actions on our own server: that a page was opened, that search was opened, that a camera was started, that a trip was planned. No cookie is set and no identifier is created, so these cannot be joined into a visit or a person — each one is a tally mark and nothing more. What travels with it: which page, which language, and whether you arrived from a search engine, a social network or straight to us — the kind of source, never the address you came from. If you followed a link we posted somewhere, the label we put on that link travels too, which is how we learn a post was worth making. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we count nothing at all.

What stays on your device

Pinned crossings, your chosen language, your chosen currency and a dismissed language banner are remembered in your browser's own storage. They are written only when you use those features, they never leave the device, and clearing your browser data removes them. There is no account here to log into and nothing to delete on our side.

The cameras belong to someone else, and your browser fetches them directly

We do not copy or re-host camera pictures. On a Croatian crossing page the images load straight from the road authority's own servers, which means those servers see your request, exactly as they would if you had opened their site yourself. Macedonian video works differently: nothing is fetched from the streaming host until you press play. We would rather say this plainly than quietly pass the pictures through our own server and leave you thinking they were ours.

If you write to us

The feedback form sends us what you typed and which page you were on. If you want an answer you can add your email — that is the only reason we would ever have it, it is attached to the message as the reply address, and it is never used for anything else. It arrives as an email, it is used to correct the page, and there is no mailing list here for you to end up on. The contact form for business inquiries works the same way: the same inbox, and your address only so that we can answer you.

No advertising, no third-party tracking

There are no ad networks here, no social widgets and no embedded trackers. Advertising is something this site may carry one day, if it is ever read widely enough to be worth it. If that happens, this page changes before the advertising appears, and it will say what was added.
