Where every number comes from

Every number here comes from a named source. This page says which, and how exact it is.

We never estimate a wait. If a source has not published one, neither do we.

The feeds we publish from

We read every feed once an hour. The date beside each source is our last read, not when that source last changed anything. A date behind the others means that source did not answer; we keep asking every hour.

How to read a figure here

“≤ 30 min” is a category, not a measurement

Croatia and Serbia publish coarse bands their own sources chose, and we keep the source's wording instead of rounding it into a number nobody published. Where a figure carries that mark, the true wait is somewhere inside the band and we do not know where.

No figure never means no queue

A crossing with no figure is a crossing the source reported nothing for. It is a different fact from a wait of zero, and this site keeps the two apart everywhere — including in the cost receipt, which says “no data” instead of €0.

Direction is the source's own

Every national feed reports relative to itself, so the Croatian feed's “exit” is the queue leaving Croatia — which is the wait for a driver heading into Serbia.

When we read it, not when they measured

Most feeds say when they observed a queue. Romania publishes exact minutes and no observation time, so its figures carry only the time we read them. We know when we looked; we do not know when they measured.

We take your word over our own figure

You are at the border and we are not. So when a driver tells us what they really waited, it goes up straight away, beside our figure and never mixed into it. If it disagrees with our source, yours leads, and the page says so.

How we check driver reports

Almost every report goes up the moment you send it. A few are unusual: far longer than anything this crossing usually sees, or than the page itself was showing. Those wait for one of us to look first, and the page says a report is awaiting review. If a second driver reports the same thing, it goes up on its own. If we remove a report, the page says so. We never delete what you sent.

Tell us. A figure that disagrees with the barrier in front of you is the most useful thing anyone can send this site.
